They are extremely good at precision and control as long as it is a local and mechanically straightforward system. Things get a bit haywire if there are too many feedback loops. (Life! Life is almost nothing but feedback loops!) I am a little disappointed in them -- you'd think they'd be better at solving systems of differential equations than that -- but when I see how freaking slow their targeting algorithms are... Well. They seem to have a bit of a programming optimization problem. Or something.

(That's okay. I like them anyway. And if their programming wasn't stalling and hanging all the time, Our Heroes would never be able to escape getting shot as often as they do. And then all of Our Heroes would be dead, which would mean we would have far fewer reasons to have Terminators clumping across my screen.)
